The main ingredients are Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3, with Red Yeast Rice, Monacolin K, Ubiquinol, Vitamin E, B1, B6, B9, B12. This innovative formulation combines a specific probiotic strain, Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3, with other functional ingredients which exerts a triple effect of lowering cholesterol levels, protection against oxidation, and metabolism of homocysteine.
Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3 is a probiotic strain which helps in the production of glutathione in the body. Each tablet contains 8 billion viable cells of L.fermentum ME-3. This probiotic strain supports the three pathways of glutathione production which are the following: 1) ME-3 can directly synthesize glutathione 2) ME-3 extracts available glutathione molecules from the surrounding environment and 3) ME-3 recycles oxidized glutathione (GSSG) back to its active state (GSH). A balance of GSH/GSSG is essential for proper homeostasis for the facilitation of cellular performance, survival, and stabilization of the biomolecular spectrum.
